PG HISTORY Post Graduation for History Department under Assam University was started in the College in the year 1997 with the permission of the Government of Assam. The first batch came out with spectacular result in 1999. The Department came into being with the initiative of Professor Tushar Kanti Dey and Professor Namdeb Sinha. The Pioneering teachers are: Mrs. Valentina Bazeley, Mr. Manash Majumdar and Mrs. Bharati Thaosen.
