Departmental Plantation Programme on Amrit Briksha Aandolan
Department of Political Science took part in the Amrit Briksha Aandolan and all the faculty members planted each sapling of trees with a tag mark in the college premises.

DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE (Estd: 1961)
History:
Political Science department was started with the establishment of college in 1961 and Shri Hem Nath Sarma Bordoloi was appointed as the first lecturer and became the Head of the Department. Honours Course was introduced from the session 1975. Shri Nabin Ch. Gogoi, Md. Adil-ul-Yasin, Dr. Tanmay Bhattacharjee, are amongst the founder lecturers of this department. Total number of sanctioned posts is 5 (five).
