HISTORY
The Department of Economics, Haflong College, synchronizes its experience with the establishment of Haflong Govt. College itself in 1961. Shri S. R. Rajan appointed as the first lecturer in Economics and Philosophy Department. Late Manish Ranjan Deb, Late Subhash Chandra Bhattacharjee, Shri Ranodhir Ranjan Nath Mazumdar are amongst the founder lecturers of this Department. Total number of sanctioned post is 5 (Five) of which one post is lying vacant. The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) has appointed three Tutor Assistant Professor for smooth functioning of the Department.
